I wanna share a personal project (still beta experimental):
OPEW becomes a multi-language (mainly web-focused) development enviroment stack for GNU/Linux, and obviously I include node.js precompiled and ready-to-fun 🙂 with additionally PHP, Ruby, Perl, Python, Go and Lua.
If you read it, are a geek (be honest) and/or have some of free time.. please, test it and give me some feedback!

  2. I don’t think the “install node-waf by default” piece is working. I updated to 0.7.1 and tried to install a package that uses node-waf (mdns) and received an error:

‘node-waf’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

    • Node-waf doesn’t work on Windows.

We’re working on a solution that will make it easier to get a build toolchain in Windows based on node-gyp. Many packages will have to be updated to use this instead, so we’re trying to make it as easy a transition as possible.

Stay tuned. This will almost certainly be in 0.8.
